For more than twenty years, THE SMYTHS have brought the music of The Smiths back to life in the live arena across more than 900 shows in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand as well as countless festivals including Glastonbury, The Isle of Wight and Bestival.

The Smyths re-define what a tribute is, caring less about the silly props choosing to focus on the experiential, the fevered rush of a brilliant band playing the songs of a generation that reverberates and resonates today.

Bad Manners is coming to The Vault on Thursday 22 May! 🚨

Fronted by vocalist Buster Bloodvessel, Bad Manners are the best in British ska, outrageous and enigmatic they are known for their crazy antics and two-tone tracks.

Rising to prominence during the late ‘70s ska revival movement, they quickly gained early exposure through 2-Tone Records package tours and an appearance in the live documentary Dance Craze.

Winchester Students' Union is excited to launch public live music events at its 500-capacity venue, The Vault, based on the University Campus, in the King Alfred Centre. The Students’ Union will work in collaboration with Divergent Venues (The 1865, Southampton) and The Railway Inn, to develop Winchester’s already thriving music scene.

Shows announce include Bluegrass-cover stalwarts Hayseed Dixie on 11 October, with a run of shows as a pilot launch on 20-22 June, with tributes to popular Nu Metal acts (Friday 20 June), The Smyths (Saturday 21 June) before closing off the opening weekend with a performance from Ska legends Bad Manners.

In addition to the live music program, The Vault is also opening it’s doors to the public for events such as Winchester Beer and Cider Festival and Popkids coming to the Venue in 2025!
